The Congress may have to face the issue of insult to Dalits due to Ashok Ram joining JDU. By saying Ashok Ram himself that his need is no longer the need of the Congress, it can cause problems for the party. At the same time, Nitish Kumar’s image of standing with Dalits is sure to shine more with Ashok Ram’s arrival. Especially because Nitish Kumar conducted a caste survey in his state and then tried to increase the limit of reservation. It is not yet known whether Ashok Ram will contest JDU elections or not.
