On the auspicious occasion of Maha Kumbh in Tirtharaj Prayag after 144 years, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government, which is taking a pledge for public welfare, has taken major decisions for better connectivity in the state. In the historic meeting of the Cabinet held on the sacred Triveni banks, in-principle approval was given for the construction of 320 km length Vindhya Expressway and 100 km length Vindhya-Purvanchal Link Expressway.
In the special cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister said that the connectivity network is being developed and industrial projects are being developed in the area through the Prakash Expressway run by the state government. At present, Paschimanchal, Madhyanchal, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand regions of the state are covered by expressways and now it is necessary to build expressways for social and economic development in the remote south-eastern Vindhya region. From this point of view, a new expressway of 320 km length should be constructed connecting Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli and Sonbhadra. The starting point of this new expressway will be Ganga Expressway in Prayagraj, while it will terminate at NH 39 in Sonbhadra. In this way, there will be direct connectivity of Ganga Expressway and Vindhya Expressway, besides, good connectivity will also be established with Jharkhand in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh.
Similarly, it would be appropriate to construct Vindhya Purvanchal Link Expressway starting from Chandauli on Vindhya Expressway to Ghazipur, the end point of Purvanchal Expressway. Its length will be approximately 100 km.
While giving a big gift to Prayagraj, the Chief Minister also expressed the need for construction of a new bridge from Salori to Hetapatti in Prayagraj. Along with the above, in the meeting, in-principle approval was also given to the new bridge parallel to Shastri Bridge and Yamuna Signature Bridge. The Chief Minister said that these three bridges will give shape to the vision of Smart Prayagraj.
In this meeting held on the banks of Triveni, the entire government under the leadership of the Chief Minister reiterated its commitment towards building a ‘safe and prosperous Uttar Pradesh’. The entire Yogi government, united on the banks of the holy confluence of Trividhi Tapa-sin Nashi Ganga, Kurmvahini Yamuna and Anthasalila Saraswati, took many decisions in the interest of the poor youth, farmers and women of the state. The Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister along with all the Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and Ministers of State were present in the Ganga Tire Bane Triveni Sankul.
