At least four people were killed and five were injured when a car collided with a divider while returning from a wedding on Sunday morning in Begusarai, Bihar.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Subodh Kumar said that the incident took place at around 3.40 am on Sunday when the people in the car were returning from the wedding. The officer said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital and they were being treated. According to the police, one of the injured said that the accident happened because the driver was sleepy when they got out of the car.
According to the police, one of the injured said that the incident took place because when they left the wedding at two o’clock at night, the driver was feeling sleepy, due to which the accident happened.
Kumar told ANI, “Some people were returning from marriage. The driver hit the car with a divider and four people were killed in the accident. The other five people were injured and they are undergoing treatment. One of the injured has said that they had left the procession at 2 pm and the driver must have been sleepy, due to which the accident happened at 3.40 am.”
