Today is the second day of Bihar Business Connect 2024. Today also started on a warm and thoughtful note. All the dignitaries present on the stage were welcomed with saplings and traditional shawls. So far, more than 40 companies have expressed their desire to work in the IT sector and under this, MoUs worth more than Rs 4 thousand crore have been signed so far. Shareholders of companies like Superseva, Jai Shree Technologies and Excel Dot were quite enthusiastic about Bihar.
Today Sun Petrochemicals MD Dilip Shanghvi signed MoU with the Industries Department to invest Rs 36,700 crore in Bihar. It will create 30,000 jobs in renewable energy and green infrastructure. This is beneficial for both the industry and the people of Bihar.
Not only this, Pranab Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises in Bihar Business Connect said that Adani Group is planning to invest Rs 20,000 crore in setting up thermal power plants in Bihar. He said that the company has already made huge investments in Bihar.
Apart from this, the country’s leading petroleum company Indian Oil Corporation Limited is going to invest Rs 21 thousand crore in Begusarai, Bihar. Company Executive Director Suman Kumar said that under this investment the capacity of Barauni Refinery will be increased.
It is noteworthy that last year more than 600 entrepreneurs had participated in Bihar Business Connect 2023. During this period, MOUs were signed on 278 investment proposals worth Rs 50,530 crore, out of which 244 projects, worth Rs 38,000 crore, have been implemented on ground. This accelerated industrial development in the state and created many employment opportunities. Considering the success of last year, Bihar Business Connect has been organized again this year.
Earlier yesterday, Scaler Industries of Telangana signed an MoU worth Rs 500 crore with the Bihar government. The program was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary during Bihar Business Connect 2024 organized by the Industries Department at Gyan Bhawan, Patna.
Yesterday Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the Bihar government is actively working to expand its industrial land bank. The move is aimed at ensuring that industries operating in Bihar or considering investing in the state do not face any hurdles due to shortage of land.
Samrat Chaudhary described the conference as an important milestone for Bihar. He expressed confidence that the state is fully equipped to achieve unprecedented development levels and embark on a journey of sustained growth.
