Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's car itself challaned, the CM who preaches good governance is himself ignoring the rules.

New Delhi. The official vehicle of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is once again in the news. The pollution certificate of this vehicle has expired on 3 August 2024, but despite this the vehicle is running on the roads. This matter came to light when the Chief Minister reached the death anniversary program of DM Dinesh Kumar Rai’s father in Kushahi Betiya village of Karghar block of Rohtas district.

Case of ignoring old rules

This is not the first time that the Chief Minister’s car has been found violating the rules. On February 23, 2024, a challan of Rs 1,000 was issued for not wearing seat belt in this vehicle. But till now this fine has not been deposited. In such a situation, the question arises that the person who is responsible for maintaining law and order in the state has been ignoring the rules for months.

Question on transport department

The Transport Department is running a strict vehicle checking campaign across the state. In such a situation, if even the slightest deficiency is found in the documents of the vehicles of the general public, challan is being issued immediately. But despite the pollution failure of the Chief Minister’s car and the fine being pending, will any action be taken against him? This question has become a topic of deep discussion among the public.

RJD attacked

RJD leader Vimal Kumar cornered the Chief Minister on this issue. He said, “It is the misfortune of Bihar that the Chief Minister’s own vehicle has failed in pollution control. On the other hand, the government is committing atrocities on the general public by imposing unnecessary fines. The documents of vehicles of many ministers in the state are incomplete, which exposes the claims of good governance.”

Question on government’s seriousness towards law

This case related to the Chief Minister’s vehicle has sparked a new debate on the manner in which rules are followed and implemented in the state. Now it will be important to see whether the Transport Department takes action against the Chief Minister’s vehicle or not. If this matter is ignored, it will raise questions on the seriousness of the government towards the law and rules in the state.

Are the rules only for the general public?

This incident has raised a question among the public whether the rules have been made only for the general public? Due to lack of action against the Chief Minister’s vehicle, double standards of law may come to the fore. Now all eyes are on what steps the government and the transport department will take in this matter.
