Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has announced that he will contest as an independent candidate from Mahua seat in Vaishali district in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Yadav was recently expelled from the party by his father and founder president of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He is an MLA from Hasanpur seat in Samastipur district.
Yadav told reporters at his residence on Saturday evening, “Yes, this time I will contest from Mahua assembly seat as an independent candidate. My opponents will definitely have problems. “He said,” I have the support of the people… a large number of people are associated with the social media forum ‘Team Tej Pratap Yadav’. “
Yadav claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would not be able to save his post after the assembly elections. He said, “I am confident that uncle (Nitish) will not become the Chief Minister … Those who will form the government, if they talk about youth, employment, education and health then Tej Pratap Yadav will stand with them.
The former Bihar minister was expelled from the party for six years from the party on 25 May.
She was expelled from the party after Tej Pratap Yadav accepted the ‘relationship’ with a woman named Anushka on social media. Tej Pratap Yadav later removed this post from the social media forum Facebook and said that his page was “hacked”.
Lalu Prasad also broke his relationship with Yadav’s “irresponsible behavior”. A few days after the expulsion of the party, Tej Pratap alleged that the “conspiracy” was being hatched to create bitterness between him and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.
