New Delhi. The cabinet of Nitish Kumar government of Bihar has expanded. The big thing is that seven BJP MLAs were made ministers in cabinet expansion while CM Nitish Kumar did not make any MLA from his party JDU a minister in cabinet expansion. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office to seven MLAs. Now in the Bihar government, there have been 36 members including the Chief Minister and the Deputy CM, which is the maximum number of cabinet.

BJP MLA Jeevesh Mishra from Jale Assembly seat of Darbhanga has become a minister in the Nitish government for the second time. Mishra was the Labor Minister in the Nitish cabinet from November 2020 to August 2022. BJP MLA Raju Kumar Singh from Sahebganj seat has also joined the Nitish cabinet. Raju started politics from Lokjan Shakti Party and later he joined BJP.

Sunil Kumar, a doctor by profession and BJP MLA from Biharsharif, also took oath as a minister. Sunil joined BJP in June 2013. Prior to that Sunil was elected MLA from JDU in 2005 and 2010. BJP MLA Sanjay Saraogi has also been sworn in by the Governor as Minister. Saraogi, MLA from Darbhanga, took oath in Maithili language.

BJP Moti Lal Prasad, MLA from Riga, Sitamarhi, has also been sworn in as a minister of Bihar State. Moti Lal, who comes from the Teli community, has been a member of the assembly twice. BJP Krishna Kumar Mantu from Amanore, Saran has also been sworn in by the Governor as a minister. Mantu, who comes from the Kurmi community, is a two -time MLA. He first won the election in 2015, after which he also won in 2020. MLA Vijay Kumar Mandal has also been sworn in by the Governor as Minister. Mandal is a BJP MLA from Sikti Assembly in Araria.
