Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi has urged Union Minister Chirag Paswan to be associated with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and to contribute to strengthening it after criticizing the Bihar government -led Bihar government after criticizing the Nitish Kumar -led Bihar government for “deteriorating” law and order situation.
Addressing reporters in Patna, Manjhi said, “We are in NDA. We have to help the NDA. We wish them all the best. They should strengthen the NDA.”
In an important comment, Manjhi mentioned Paswan’s political stance in the 2020 Bihar assembly elections and urged not to repeat the conflicts like past. Manjhi said, “If he does not adopt a 2020 policy, it will be a very good thing.”
Highlighting the current importance of NDA at the state and national level, Manjhi said, “Today NDA has become necessary for society and country. Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar are all developing. If someone opposes NDA, I think I do not have a good feeling towards the state and country and if we are working to strengthen it, we will appreciate it.”
Chirag Paswan said in his earlier remarks that he is saddened to support such a government, which is not able to curb the rising crime rate. Paswan said that he believes that reports of increasing criminal incidents like murder, looting are a “conspiracy” to discredit the government before the assembly elections. The responsibility of controlling law and order is eventually of the state government.
The Union Minister told reporters in Patna, “I also believe that these incidents are being done as part of a conspiracy to discredit the government before the election. But still it is the responsibility of the administration to control it. Either the administration is in collusion or the administration has become completely useless and now it is no longer the matter of keeping Bihar and Bihar safe.”
He said, “I request the Bihar government to take action in time. I am ashamed that I am supporting a government, under whose rule the crime has been out of control.”
The Chairman of the LJP (Ram Vilas Paswan), who was involved in the ruling NDA alliance, cited the incident of shooting a retired officer of the Health Department by unknown assailants in Gaya district recently, saying that it seems that the Bihar government has “bowed down completely” in front of criminals. Paswan said that if such incidents were curbed, a terrible situation will arise in the state.
Chirag Paswan said, “The way there have been criminal incidents one after the other and the government has succumbed to the criminals. It is true that the incident is as shameful as it is as shameful, and there has been one arrest. But why are incidents like murder, robbery, robbery, rape in Bihar in Bihar? A frightening situation will arise. “
