BJP Angry Over Karnataka Health Minister's Statement On Savarkar: Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said something on Savarkar which made BJP furious, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao's comment on Savarkar made BJP furious.

New Delhi. Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao made such a statement regarding Savarkar that BJP has become enraged. BJP MP Anurag Thakur said that Congress is a factory of lies, India will not tolerate the insult of Veer Savarkar. On the occasion of the launch of a book, Gundu Rao said that Savarkar was a Brahmin, but he was a meat eater. He was not against cow slaughter. Some people say that he also ate beef, but of course, as a Brahmin, he ate meat. He was openly preaching meat eating. However, he praised Mahatma Gandhi and said that he was a vegetarian and had great faith in Hindu religion. He was a democratic person.

While commenting on Mohammed Ali Jitra, the Karnataka minister said that Jinnah was a staunch Islamist but he probably ate pork. Jinnah was not a fundamentalist but he became a Muslim icon. Jinnah compromised his philosophy because he wanted to become President, he had a secular philosophy. We have to understand the main aspects and respond against RSS and Hindu Mahasabha who are promoting this kind of philosophy and fundamentalism. On one hand there is awareness among the public but how we act becomes very important. There are many people who are traditional but it does not mean that fundamentalism is their doctrine.

On the other hand, BJP MP Anurag Thakur hit back at the Karnataka minister and said that Congress never learned anything from Veer Savarkar who dedicated his life for the country. By insulting Veer Savarkar he showed that he does not respect freedom fighters. Sardar Bhagat Singh was called a separatist in text books. By including those who broke the country into the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi is carrying forward the ideology of ‘tukde tukde’ and he is a ‘modern Jinnah’ who is spreading falsehood in the country and abroad.
