Delhi Assembly Elections 2025
The buzz of assembly elections has intensified in Delhi. All political parties including Aam Aadmi Party, BJP and Congress have started their preparations with full force. Aam Aadmi Party has also announced the names of many of its candidates. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced the State Election Committee for the Delhi Assembly elections. Names of total 21 leaders
The list of State Election Committee released by BJP for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2025 includes the names of a total of 21 leaders. Names of many important leaders including Virendra Sachdeva, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Manoj Tiwari, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Manjinder Singh Sirsa have been included in the list. When will the elections be held?
Assembly elections are expected to be held in Delhi by early 2025 or February next year. The tenure of Delhi Assembly is ending on 23 February next year. Assembly elections are to be held before that. Let us tell you that in the assembly elections held in the year 2020, Aam Aadmi Party had won 62 out of 70 seats in the Union Territory. Whereas, BJP had won 8 seats. Congress had not even opened its account in the state. At the same time, in the recently held Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP had won all the 7 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Election Commission held a meeting
In view of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections 2024, the Election Commission held a meeting with representatives of political parties in Central Delhi on Wednesday. This meeting was attended by MP Bansuri Swaraj, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha and party leader Jasmine Shah. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has also reviewed the election preparations for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
