In such a situation, on one hand, the time of prayer in all the cities including Lucknow, Meerut has been extended from 12.30 pm to 2 pm, on the other hand, Mayor Anjum Ara of Darbhanga, Bihar, has said to be given a two -hour break for prayers on Holi. Anjum Ara says that the time of prayers of Jumme cannot be changed, so those who play Holi should take a break on the time of Namaz. At the same time, BJP has become furious on this matter of Darbhanga Mayor.
The meeting of the District Peace Committee was called in view of Holi and Zuma. Talking to reporters after this meeting, Mayor Anjum Ara said, “Between 12.30 and 2 pm, when there is time of prayer, then playing Holi should be stopped during this time.” He also said that there are few people in the society who spoil the atmosphere. Therefore, I suggest that those who play Holi during Namaz should be kept away from the mosque. He said that I have also spoken before the district administration.
On the other hand, BJP’s local MLA Haribhushan Thakur expressed displeasure over the Mayor and said that no restriction will be imposed on playing Holi. The BJP MLA made a strong comment on Mayor Anjum Ara and said that his mentality is of terrorists. He said that the woman’s mentality is of Gajwa-e-Hind. Along with this, he said in two words that the program of Holi will not be stopped even for 1 minute. He repeated this three times and said that I see how someone can stop Holi.
