The Election Commission on Tuesday announced the dates of assembly elections for Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Along with this, by-elections have also been announced for 48 assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats in different states. As the election dates approach, the Bharatiya Janata Party has come into action mode. A big meeting of the party has been called at the headquarters of Bharatiya Janata Party in which PM Modi has also participated. It is believed that the names of Jharkhand Assembly election candidates can be approved in this meeting.

These leaders are in the meeting

A big update regarding Jharkhand can come out in the meeting being held at the headquarters of Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi. Election committee members along with BJP national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Hemant Biswa Sarma, Babulal Marandi, Deepak Prakash etc. are attending the meeting. According to the information, PM Modi had also reached BJP headquarters.

Update on seat sharing formula

Information has also come to light about the seat sharing formula between NDA regarding Jharkhand Assembly elections. According to sources, out of 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, BJP can field candidates on 67 seats. At the same time, 14 seats are likely to go to the alliance’s account.

When will the assembly elections be held?

Elections will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. Whereas in Jharkhand, voting will be held on 13th and 20th November and the results will come only on 23rd November. By-elections will be held on 9 seats in UP on November 13. Assembly by-elections will be held in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand on November 20. The results of the by-election will also come on November 23.
