The Prime Minister said that some people have always made fun of us. Even when we had only two members in Parliament, we were ridiculed in a very ugly manner. The character of some people is such that they think that by doing this they become great. Facing such criticism, being dedicated to the welfare of the common people, living the spirit of Nation First, we kept moving forward and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay had given us the mantra ‘Charaiveti, Charaiveti, Charaiveti’ – keep moving forward – has guided us. It was said for our workers that one foot should be in the train and one foot in the jail.

Modi said that today another phase of our membership drive has begun. From the days of Bharatiya Jana Sangh till now, we have made every effort to bring a new political culture in the country. If an organisation or political party through which people confer power does not follow democratic values and does not develop internal democracy, it gives rise to the issues that we see in many parties today. As Amit Shah said, our party is the only party in India that strictly follows democratic processes while expanding its work according to its constitution and constantly strives to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people.
