New Delhi. BJP MLA Tarwinder Singh Marwah from Delhi’s Jungpura seat has written a letter to CM Rekha Gupta and raised the demand that all the shopkeepers located in the capital should instruct them to write their names outside their shop. The BJP MLA said that the name of the real owner of the shop and a copy of the Aadhaar card should be placed outside the shop so that the customers can know who is of the shop and no one has trouble. He said that this should not only be made mandatory for shopkeepers throughout the year, not only on festivals.

On writing a letter to CM Rekha Gupta, BJP leader Tarwinder Singh Marwah says that we got information that the name is written outside the shop and someone else is operating the shop. Then we later confirmed this and found that this is happening in many shops. We want the name and Aadhaar card of the real owner outside the shop, so that the customers can know who is the owner of the shop. He said that this will maintain commercial transparency and will not cause problems for customers. The BJP MLA also said that he will also raise the issue in the Delhi Assembly.
Let us tell you that during the Kavad Yatra in UP, last year, CM Yogi Adityanath issued an order for all the shopkeepers falling on Kawad Marg that the real name of the shop owner should be written outside the shop. Uttarakhand CM also issued a similar order. However, there was a lot of controversy over this order. The matter also went to the Supreme Court. Opposition parties had tried to surround the government by linking this order with social discrimination, while some Muslims also opposed it.
