The order was issued by Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim on the date of 25 February. BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari shared a copy of the order on social media, writing, under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal government is giving priority to vote bank politics on fairness and constitutional principles. The BJP spokesperson said, Mamata Banerjee knows that the Muslim vote bank on which she once trusted undeniably is slipping, even in Kolkata and its surrounding areas.
