New Delhi. Five employees died while many others were injured in an explosion in the ordnance factory located in Jawahar Nagar in Bhandara district of Maharashtra. The injured are being sent to the hospital for treatment through ambulances. Teams of police, district administration and fire brigade are present at the spot and relief work is going on. At present the cause of the explosion cannot be known. The death toll in this accident may also increase. 13 people were working at the place where the blast took place.

The explosion was so strong that its echo was heard far away. Hearing the sound of the explosion, people nearby got scared. Seeing smoke coming out of the factory, local people ran towards the spot. The video after the incident is also going viral on social media in which a cloud of smoke is seen coming out of the factory. It is being said that due to the explosion the roof there collapsed and some employees are buried under the debris. The work of removing debris is being done with the help of JCB. 5 people have been rescued safely who have suffered minor injuries, the search for others is going on.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken cognizance of the blast incident at the Ordnance Factory. CM said, Collector and Superintendent of Police are on the spot and all assistance is being provided. SDRF and Nagpur Municipal Corporation teams have also been called for rescue operations and will reach soon. The district administration is engaged in relief work in collaboration with the defense forces. Teams have also been kept ready for medical assistance. I pay my heartfelt tribute to the deceased.
