New Delhi. In the last few days, the number of bomb threats on planes has increased rapidly. On Sunday, October 20, at least 14 flights of various airlines in the country received bomb threats. This includes flights of IndiGo and Akasa Airlines. Six IndiGo flights were threatened, of which three were international flights.

Emergency landing of flight from Pune at Jodhpur airport
IndiGo flight 6E133 going from Pune to Jodhpur was safely landed at Jodhpur airport after receiving a bomb threat. The aircraft and passengers are being thoroughly checked at the airport. In view of security, fire brigade, dog squad and police-administrative officials have reached the spot.
Indigo issued a statement after the incident saying, “We are keeping an eye on all the flights which have been threatened. The safety of passengers and crew is our top priority. We are coordinating with the concerned authorities and all necessary precautions are being taken.”
Akasa Air flights also received threats
Akasa Airlines flights also received bomb threats on Sunday. An Akasa Air spokesperson said that six flights were alerted for security reasons. Following the threat, all flights coordinated with local security officials and followed emergency procedures.
