New Delhi. Indian Airlines have been continuously receiving bomb threats for the last few days. In this series, on Wednesday, October 16, two more flights—Akasa Air from Delhi to Bengaluru and IndiGo from Mumbai to Delhi—were diverted on emergency basis after receiving bomb threats. A total of 12 flights have received bomb threats in the last three days. Akasa Air flight QP 1335 took off from Delhi for Bengaluru at 12:16 pm, but was diverted back to Delhi within an hour of takeoff due to a security alert. The Boeing 737 aircraft was carrying 174 passengers, three children and seven crew members. The plane made an emergency landing and landed safely at Delhi airport at around 2 pm. An Akasa Air spokesperson said that their emergency response teams were monitoring the situation, and out of abundance of caution, the pilot was advised to return to Delhi. The airline’s teams are on standby to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Indigo flight coming from Mumbai to Delhi was also diverted
IndiGo flight 6E 651, which was coming from Mumbai to Delhi, was also diverted to Ahmedabad after receiving a security alert. According to IndiGo spokesperson, the flight landed safely and all passengers were evacuated safely. He said that the aircraft will be thoroughly inspected so that any kind of insecurity can be avoided.

12 flights threatened in last three days
Since Monday, 12 Indian Airlines flights have received bomb threats. Of these, three international flights were of Air India and IndiGo, while the other seven domestic flights received threats on Tuesday. All the threats came through social media platforms and were later proven to be fake. Intensive investigation is being conducted by security agencies after two more flights received threats so far on Wednesday.
