Nomination for Maharashtra Assembly elections has also started. Brainstorming is still going on in Mahayuti regarding the final formula of seat sharing. There is still a dilemma on 106 seats in Mahayuti. An important meeting is going to be held in Delhi today regarding this. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar will attend this meeting. The three top leaders may also meet the BJP high command.

All three parties released their first lists

It is expected that the final approval on the remaining seats where there is deadlock can be taken in this meeting today. The three parties of Mahayuti have released the first list of their candidates. BJP has so far declared its candidates on 99 seats. While Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released the list of 45 candidates and Ajit Pawar’s NCP has released the list of 38 candidates.

BJP can fight at 152-155

There are total 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. According to sources, BJP can contest on 152 to 155 seats, Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena on 70 to 80 seats and Ajit Pawar led Nationalist Congress Party on 52 to 54 seats.

Shinde reached Devi’s court before entering the election field.

Before entering the election fray, CM Eknath Shinde reached Assam on Wednesday to visit Kamakhya Devi. On reaching here, Shinde said that he is 100 percent confident that Mahayuti will win.

Shinde faction fielded these top leaders in the elections

Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has fielded its candidates on 45 seats. Eknath Shinde will contest from Kopri Pachpakhadi assembly seat. Sanjay Shirsat from Sambhajinagar West, Shambhuraje Desai from Patan, Uday Samant from Ratnagiri, Deepak Kesarkar from Sawantwadi have been made candidates. Eknath Shinde has also given ticket to Vikas Bhumre, son of MP Sandipan Bhumre from Paithan, Kiran Samant, brother of minister Uday Samant from Rajapur, Manisha Vaykar, wife of MP Ravidra Vaykar from Jogeshwari East.

NCP’s list of 38 candidates released

Ajit Pawar’s NCP has also released its first list on Wednesday and announced the names of 38 candidates. Most of the list contains sitting MLAs. Tickets have also been given to 6 such faces, who are either new or have come from other parties.

Ajit Pawar will contest from Baramati, Chhagan Bhujbal from Yeola, Dilip Valse Patil from Ambegaon, Hasan Mushrif from Kagal, Dhananjay Munde from Parli.

Nawab Malik’s name not in NCP’s first list

The party has fielded Muslim candidate Najeeb Mulla from Mumbra Kalwa seat. Jitendra Awhad, a senior leader of Sharad Pawar’s party, contests from this seat. Neither Nawab Malik’s name nor his daughter Sana Malik’s name is in the first list of NCP.
