New Delhi. The BJP has proposed a proposal of breach of privilege in the House against senior Congress leader and former president Sonia Gandhi on the insult of President Draupadi Murmu. BJP MPs have also given notice of breach of privilege to Independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia in Bihar. 40 BJP MPs have supported the notice of breach of privilege. BJP MPs have taken seriously considering the remarks of Sonia Gandhi and Pappu Yadav against President Draupadi Murmu and demanded disciplinary action in the House.

The President presented the address in Sansadan on the first day of the budget session on 31 January. After this, Sonia Gandhi reacted to the President’s address and even spoke to him ‘Poor Lady’, poor and tired. At the same time, Pappu Yadav called the President a stamp. The BJP condemned Sonia Gandhi’s statement and condemned him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also raised the issue of Sonia Gandhi’s remarks about the President during an election rally in Delhi. Modi had said that despite not having mother tongue Hindi, the President gave a great speech in Parliament, but the royal family of the Congress has come down on their insult.
