New Delhi. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will field its candidates on all 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. Party supremo Mayawati may probably release the first list of candidates in mid-January. It is being told that BSP is going to launch its election campaign in Delhi from January 5. BSP rally is going to be held in Kondli, Delhi, this rally will be addressed by Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand. Besides, BSP has also made a strategy for door to door campaign. The party is keeping an eye on the Dalit and backward class voters of Delhi.
This is not the first time that Mayawati has announced to field her candidates in Delhi elections. In the 2020 elections also, BSP had fielded candidates on all the seats, although no party candidate had opened his account on even a single seat. Even before that, in the two elections the party had not won a single seat. BSP had won two seats in 2008, since then the party had to face defeat in every election. Now this time again Mayawati has decided to field candidates on all the seats. This time, Mayawati is trying to connect backward and Dalit class people with the party under a special strategy, for this she has entrusted the responsibility to the regional coordinators.
Akash Anand can also play an active role in the election campaign of Delhi. Let us tell you that in Delhi, there is a triangular contest between Arvind Kejriwal’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party, BJP and Congress. Arvind Kejriwal has declared his party’s candidates on all 70 seats. Congress has also declared candidates on 47 seats. Ajit Pawar has also declared his party NCP’s candidates on 11 seats.
