New Delhi. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has announced that her party will not form an alliance with any regional party in future. Mayawati has taken this decision in view of the party’s massive defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections and the results of the Punjab elections before that. BSP supremo says that in the elections of other states including UP, BSP’s votes were transferred to the alliance party but they did not have the capacity to transfer their votes to BSP. Due to not getting the expected election results, the party cadre was disappointed and worried. It is important to avoid loss of movement.
In this context, in view of the results of the Haryana Assembly elections and the bitter experience of the earlier Punjab elections, it has been decided in the review meeting of Haryana and Punjab today that in future no alliance will be made with regional parties. Whereas the distance between BJP-NDA and Congress-India alliance will continue as before. Let us tell you that BSP had formed an alliance with Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in the Haryana Assembly elections. BSP suffered loss due to this alliance, its voting percentage decreased compared to last time whereas INLD benefited from the alliance and its voting percentage not only increased, it had won one seat in the last election but this time it has won two seats.
Mayawati says that all-round casteist efforts are continuing to weaken the caravan of the country’s only prestigious Ambedkarite party BSP and its Self-Respect and Self-Respect Movement in every way, so that the process of becoming capable of self-salvation and becoming a ruling class is being halted. It is important to continue as before. BSP is not a movement to unite various parties and organizations and their selfish leaders, but to unite various sections of the Bahujan Samaj on the basis of mutual brotherhood and cooperation and create political power and make them the ruling class. It is very harmful to divert the attention of this movement of BSP here and there.
