New Delhi. The budget session of Parliament is starting from today. The session will begin with addressing the joint session of President Draupadi Murmu. This will be followed by meetings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, in which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey. On February 1, Finance Minister Modi will present the first full budget of the 3.0 government. This budget session will run till 4 April in two phases.

Opposition made its demands in the all -party meeting
Prior to the budget session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju convened an all -party meeting on Thursday. In the meeting, the government appealed to all parties for cooperation, but the opposition parties made their demands clear. The Samajwadi Party demanded a discussion on the accident in Mahakumbh and stated the need for a transparent inquiry. At the same time, Congress Deputy Leader Pramod Tiwari in Rajya Sabha said that the opposition will raise all important issues in the Parliament session.

16 important bills will be introduced in budget session
In this budget session, the government is going to introduce 16 important bills, including the Waqf Amendment Bill, Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill, Railway (Amendment) Bill and Banking (Amendment) Bill. In addition, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will create history by presenting her eighth consecutive budget.

Parliament’s budget session will be held in two phases
The first phase of the budget session will run till 13 February, after which the second phase will start from March 10 and end on 4 April. During this time the government will discuss many major economic and social reforms.
