New Delhi. A major accident has happened in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A building located in Transport Nagar area has collapsed here. Many people are trapped in it. The fire department, NDRF and SDRF teams along with the police are engaged in relief and rescue work. Four people have died in this incident while many people are still trapped. Drone cameras are also being used to search for people. Lucknow’s Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob, DM Suryapal Gangwar and many other top officials are present on the spot.

Giving information about the incident, Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob has confirmed the death of four people. He said that a part of Harmilap Tower near Shaheed Path in Sarojini Nagar police station area has collapsed. So far, about 20 people have been rescued who have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The condition of three people is critical. NDRF and SDRF teams are continuously carrying out rescue operations. There is a possibility of some more people being trapped. It is being told that the building is very old and it collapsed due to rain. The number of dead and injured in this incident may increase.

Taking cognizance of this unfortunate accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the concerned officials to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing and to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide them proper treatment. The CM has prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. At the same time, Union Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh also wrote in a social media post about the incident, the news of the accident caused by the collapse of a building in Lucknow is extremely painful. I have spoken to the District Magistrate of Lucknow over the phone and got information about the situation at the spot. The local administration is carrying out relief and rescue operations on the spot and is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way.
