New Delhi. The madrasa in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where fake notes were being printed, can now be bulldozed. A notice has been pasted outside the madrasa by the Prayagraj Development Authority. This notice has sought full information regarding the construction work done in the madrasa. Time until 18 September has been given to respond to the notice. The authority has also asked for a map of whatever construction work has been done in the madrasa. Now if the madrasa does not give a proper reply in this regard or anything other than the construction work done as per the map can be demolished by a bulldozer.
Not only this, investigation is also being done as to where the madrasa gets its money from. The madrasa’s accounts in State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank have been seized. The police have asked the bank for the complete history of the accounts. It is being told that the madrasa also received foreign funding. Not only this, it is also coming to light that a huge amount of Rs 40 lakh was deposited in one account. Let us tell you that on August 28, Prayagraj Police had busted a gang printing fake notes.
The police had arrested four people including the principal of the madrasa, Mohammad Tafseerul, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Shahid and Zahir Khan alias Abdul Zahir. These people used to print fake notes in the madrasa so that no one would suspect them. After the children left, these people used to print fake notes of Rs 100 each using a printing machine. This illegal business was being carried out for the last three-four months. At the time of arrest, fake notes of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand in denominations of Rs 100 each were recovered from them.
