Bulldozer will run at New Delhi railway station. Station changed to catch the train.

The busiest railway station in the country’s capital – New Delhi railway station – will enter the phase of sabotage for redevelopment work from March next year. The Railways has completed the tender process for this and the work order has been issued. This historic station will now emerge as a modern center with new technology, new features and better passenger experiences.

Demolition will start from Paharganj side, platforms 1 to 5 will be demolished in the first phase

According to railway officials, redevelopment will begin from Paharganj side. In the first phase, platforms 1 to 5 will be removed. This will be followed by the reconstruction of platform 6 to 9, then 10 to 13 and 14 to 16 in the second phase.

In each stage, trains will be run from other platforms or other stations so that passengers have minimal inconvenience.

Station will get a new look, flyover and new buildings will be built

The redevelopment project includes modern buildings, 7 flyovers, and new construction of all 16 platforms and tracks on both sides of the station. It aims to control the passenger crowd at the station and eliminate traffic jams.

Construction work will be done in four stages, exchange of platforms with each step

Step platform status 1 1 to 5 demolition and construction 2 6 to 9 redevelopment 3 10 to 13 construction work 4 14 to 16 last phase construction

When work will be done in one phase, then trains will continue to run from the rest of the platforms. Railways will ensure that minimum trains have to be canceled.

Holding area will be built by October, relief relief will be available at Ajmeri Gate

A holding area is being built on Ajmeri Gate side, where unreserved ticket holders will be stopped. They will get admission in the platform only on the arrival of the train. This will help control the congestion inside the station.

Trains will run from other stations, passengers will get notice in the past

Railways have decided that many trains running from New Delhi will be shifted to stations like Anand Vihar, Shakur Basti, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi Cantt, Sarai Rohilla and Old Delhi. New platforms and tracks have already been prepared for this.
