New Delhi: An uproar broke out over the incident of finding wads of currency notes from the seat of a Congress MP during the security check in the Rajya Sabha. According to sources, during security check yesterday, wads of notes were found on seat number 222. There is an uproar in the Rajya Sabha today regarding this incident. According to the information, Rajya Sabha seat number 222 from where cash was recovered belongs to Congress Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that this entire matter will be investigated as per rules. On this whole matter, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that he does not know what the matter is. He said- I had gone with Rs 500.

Chairman informed the House

As soon as the House proceedings began today, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “I inform the members that during the routine checking after the adjournment of the House yesterday, security officials recovered a bundle of currency notes from seat number 222, Which is currently allotted to Abhishek Manu Singhvi from Telangana state. The matter was brought to my notice, and I ensured that the investigation is done and it is underway.”

Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that whenever I go to Rajya Sabha, I take a note of Rs 500 with me. I heard about it for the first time. I reached the House at 12:57 and the House woke up at 1 o’clock, then I sat in the canteen till 1:30 and then left the Parliament. He said that this entire matter should be investigated.

Earlier, as soon as Jagdeep Dhankhar informed the House about this matter, an uproar started in the House. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that you should not take his name until the investigation of the matter is going on and everything becomes clear. After this statement of Kharge, the ruling party MPs started creating ruckus.

BJP President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that this is a very unfortunate and serious issue. This is an attack on the dignity of the House. I had hoped that the opposition leaders would also demand a detailed investigation. The opposition should always come forward with a healthy mind and healthy spirit. Both sides should condemn this.
