Security forces got big success in Kulgam.
The encounter between security forces and terrorists lasted for about 10 hours in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. In this army operation, Burhan Wani’s last surviving companion Farooq Nali has been killed in an encounter along with four of his other companions. The killing of Farooq Nali is a big success for the security forces. This is because Farooq Nali was holding the reins of the last commander of Hizbul Mujahideen in South Kashmir in the Kashmir Valley.
There was a reward of Rs 10 lakh
Farooq Nali was an A+ category terrorist and a reward of Rs 10 lakh was placed on him. Farooq Nali had joined Hizbul Mujahideen in the year 2014-2015. Farooq Nali was the only commander left among the 14 commanders of Burhan’s group. He was carrying out terrorist activities in South Kashmir by taking command of Hizbul Mujahideen for the last 9 years.
Hizbul Mujahideen suffered a big blow
Hizbul’s last commander Farooq Nali was being searched by all the security agencies for the last several years. Farooq was also successful in escaping by dodging the security forces in a major operation. Farooq Nali was accused of attacking security forces, target killing and recruiting new youth into Hizbul. Security agencies are considering this operation as successful and a big achievement and are considering it as a big blow to Hizbul Mujahideen. There have been many shocking revelations after the encounter in Kulgam. Identity cards made by Hizbul Mujahideen have been recovered from the slain terrorists.
Amit Shah held a high level meeting
On the other hand, after this encounter the Home Ministry is also on alert mode. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has held a high-level security meeting on security issues specifically related to Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also participated in this meeting. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dullu and Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat also attended the meeting. Apart from these, Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, National Investigation Agency Director General Sadanand Date, BSF Chief Daljit Singh Chaudhary were also present in the meeting.
