Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav said that devotees from Korba, Chhattisgarh were coming to bathe in Mahakumbh from Korba in Chhattisgarh late Friday, but then a bus going from Prayagraj on the highway collided with him. .He said that all 10 people in the SUV died in this accident and people in the bus suffered minor injuries. He told that devotees were also riding in the bus.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep grief over the incident and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

According to the police, a car and bus collided on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj highway late Friday night. 10 people died in the accident while 19 people were injured.
