The by -election will be held in the Nilambur seat in Kerala as PV Anwar has resigned, while the by -election will be held due to the death of current member Gurpreet Bassi Gogi in Ludhiana seat in Punjab.

The by -election for the Kaliganj assembly seat in West Bengal has become necessary due to the death of current assembly member Naseeruddin Ahmed.
