The CAG has said in its report that the smoke emanating from the vehicles in Delhi is one of the main causes of pollution and it can be curbed by the Delhi government. At the same time, the CAG has also accused the previous government of not implementing options preventing pollution like monorail and light rail transit and electronic buses. The CAG report states that pollution from Delhi can be significantly reduced through public transport by reducing the use of private vehicles. However, he also said that the AAP government did not make any concerted efforts in this regard.
