The report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) related to the Health Department in Delhi has also made many shocking revelations, which has revealed many corruption of the Aam Aadmi Party government. The CAG report mentions the decaying condition of the Mohalla clinics of Delhi. It has also been told that despite getting money from the central government, the AAP government did not make full use of funds in health services. Along with shortage of doctors and staff in the hospital, fund disturbances during the Corona period have also been exposed in the CAG report.
The CAG report states that a total of 8,194 posts including doctors and nursing staff in the health department of Delhi are lying vacant, on which no recruitment was done by the AAP government. During the Kovid, Rs 787.91 crore was released by the central government for Delhi, but the then Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spent only Rs 582.84 crore. Due to which the people of Delhi faced problems for medicines and treatment. At the same time, the AAP government had promised to increase 32 thousand beds in hospitals in Delhi between 2016 and 2021, but only 1,357 beds were increased.
Talking about Mohalla clinics, according to the CAG report, there were no toilets in 21 Mohalla clinics. 6 Mohalla clinics were found where there was no table for doctors. At the same time, 15 Mohalla clinics did not have power backup facility. Also, there was no facility for the disabled in Mohalla clinics. The CAG report has delayed the construction of three under -construction hospitals in Delhi and due to this the budget increase has also been revealed. The construction of Indira Gandhi Hospital was delayed by 5 years and Rs 314.9 crore was more than the fixed cost. Similarly, in Burari Hospital and MA Dental Hospital (Phase-2), the fixed cost increased by Rs 41.26 crore and Rs 26.36 crore respectively.
