New Delhi. The Calcutta High Court has given conditional permission to Hindu organizations to take out a Ram Navami rally on the traditional route in Howrah. A rally is to be held on 6 April by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Anjani son Sena and Durga Vahini on Ram Navami. The Trinamool Congress government of West Bengal refused to give permission of the rally citing security reasons. After this, Hindu organizations approached the High Court from where their application was accepted. The High Court has clarified that a rally is allowed to take out a rally with police security between 3 pm and 5 pm and maximum 500 people can be involved.
The High Court has also said that no weapons should be used in the rally, as well as the bike rally should not be taken out and DJ should not be played. In fact, the Howrah Police had suggested to take out the journey from a new route this time instead of the traditional route of the rally, which Hindu organizations did not like. He demanded the journey from the traditional route itself. At the same time, Hindu organizations say that the administration has banned the Ram Navami procession for the second consecutive time. Targeting the Mamta Banerjee government, Hindu organizations say that CM has a problem with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram.
Earlier, Mamata Banerjee appealed to celebrate Ram Navami festival with peace. It is worth noting that during the Ram Navami procession in 2022, a rally was stoned by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Shivpur area of Howrah. Many people were injured in this incident. The Trinamool government of West Bengal had come under the target of Hindu organizations. On the other hand, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has announced that he will lay the foundation stone of the grand Ram temple in Nandigram on the day of Ram Navami.
