New Delhi. A major accident has occurred in Kaithal district of Haryana. Here a car fell into the canal due to which 8 people of the same family traveling in the car died. Those killed include 4 girls and 4 women, while the condition of the driver is critical. All these people were residents of Deeg village and were going to attend the fair of Baba Ladana of Ravidas Dera in Guhana village when the car fell into the canal near Mundri. After this incident, two people were pulled out alive from the canal but they also died while being taken to the hospital.

Taking cognizance of this tragic accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences. PM wrote on social media post, the road accident in Kaithal, Haryana is heartbreaking. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible help on the spot.

At the same time, State Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has described this incident as heart-wrenching. Along with this, he has instructed the district administration officials to reach the spot and provide all possible help and speed up the relief work. DSP Lalit Kumar said that we have received information that a family was going to the fair, their car fell into the canal near Mundri, in which the family members died, only the driver is alive. At present the rescue operation is going on. The reason behind how the car went out of control and fell into the river is being investigated.
