Car, truck collided: Three family members returning from Mahakumbh died

In Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh, a couple and their daughter were killed and two others were injured when a high speed car collided with a high speed truck. Police gave this information.

Maihar Kotwali police station in -charge Animesh Dwivedi said that the accident occurred at around one and a half pm when the family was returning to his home in Mumbai from Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the car driver lost control of the vehicle near Narora village on National Highway No. 30, about 20 km from the district headquarters, after which the car collided with a truck standing on the roadside.

 
The official said that three people in the car died on the spot while two others were injured.

The official said that the deceased have been identified as Sunil Kumar Upadhyay (62), his wife Sarojita Upadhyay (56) and his daughter Sneha Upadhyay (28). He said that two other members of Upadhyay’s family have been injured and they are undergoing treatment in the district hospital.

The officer said that the police have registered a case and the incident is being investigated.
