Case filed against 5 thousand Congress workers
Bhubaneswar: Congress’s protests in Bhubaneswar, Odisha have now become a big controversy. On March 27, Congress workers surrounded the assembly, during which there was a fierce clash between the police and the workers. After this incident, the Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police has registered a case against Congress leaders and workers in serious sections.
What is the whole matter?
After a large public meeting of the Congress, the workers moved towards the assembly. Demonstration in Lower PMG area took a fierce form. When the police tried to stop the crowd, the Congress workers got into a scuffle. The situation deteriorated so much that the police had to use lathicharge and tear gas.
Many policemen and Congress workers were injured in this violent demonstration. A case has been registered against 8 MLAs, some former MLAs and more than 5 thousand people, including Congress state president Bhakcharan Das, Legislature Party leader Ramchandra Kadam, MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Ramesh Chandra Jena. They have been charged with 10 serious allegations like spreading rioting, taking up the law.
This fierce performance also affected the general public. Traffic was affected, people were stuck in an atmosphere of fear. Police increased checking in many places in the city in view of security.
Rahul had targeted BJP government and RSS in Gujarat today
Today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the BJP government. He had said, ‘His (RSS) ideology is against the constitution. They want to end democracy. They want to control all the institutions of India and hand over the country’s money to Ambani-Adani. Rahul Gandhi also made a statement on the Waqf Bill. He had said, ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill is an attack on religious freedom and constitution. After our Dalit leader Tika Ram Julie went to the temple, BJP leaders got the temple cleaned. This is not our religion. Rahul had said that our ideology says that this country is of every caste, religion and language. The institutions of this country do not belong to any one organization, they do not belong to the Congress party. They belong to the public, so the public should control them. This fight is going on.
