Abu Azmi had earlier made a statement that a commander of Aurangzeb abused the daughter of a priest in Varanasi. Abu Azmi said that Aurangzeb had tied the Mughal commander between two elephants. Azmi had described Aurangzeb as a good administrator and praised the Mughal emperor and said that if he had been in his place, he would have done the same as that of Aurangzeb.
