Allahabad High Court Judge Yashwant Verma on Wednesday requested the Supreme Court to immediately hear his petition requesting the internal inquiry committee report to be invalid.
The committee found him guilty of misconduct in the cash recovery case.
Explain that Kapil Sibal, counsel to Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma, urged the Supreme Court on Wednesday to hear his client’s petition immediately.
The petition demands invalidation of the report of the Internal Investigation Committee. In this, Justice Yashwant Verma was found guilty of misconduct in the cash recovery case.
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned the petition of Verma before the bench of India’s Chief Justice BR Gawai and Vinod Chandran K and Justice Joymalya Bagchi.
The Chief Justice told Sibal that he would have to constitute a back and said that it would not be appropriate for him to consider this matter. The Chief Justice said, “I have to constitute a back.”
Sibal requested the bench to list the case as soon as possible. Sibal said that he has raised some constitutional issues in the petition.
Consider, Verma has also demanded the cancellation of the recommendation of the then Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna to start impeachment from Parliament on May 8.
