New Delhi. CBI has filed a charge sheet in the Sealdah Court of Kolkata in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. According to this charge sheet, CBI says that the female doctor was raped and not gang-raped. According to CBI, the accused in this case, Sanjay Roy, carried out this heinous incident. First he raped the female doctor and then murdered her. Statements of 200 people have been recorded in the CBI charge sheet.

It is noteworthy that after this heinous incident came to light, government junior doctors across the country had gone on strike demanding justice for the deceased and their safety while on duty. The doctors returned to work after the Supreme Court gave safety assurance. Whereas the junior doctors of West Bengal, angry with the attitude of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, started the strike again. Last Saturday, some junior doctors sat on a fast unto death. Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, former Principal of Ajikar Medical College, has been arrested on serious charges related to suppression of the case and corruption.

Dr. Sandeep has also been dismissed from his job, not only this, his IMA membership has also been cancelled. To solve this case, CBI has also conducted polygraphy test of four employees of RG Kar Medical College including accused Sanjay Roy, former principal Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. BJP is continuously attacking Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding this matter and is demanding her resignation. From Kolkata High Court to the Supreme Court had reprimanded the Trinamool Congress government of West Bengal in this case, expressing their unhappiness with the attitude.
