New Delhi. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 3. In this meeting, there was an in-depth discussion about the current crisis in West Asia and its possible impact on India. According to sources, along with senior ministers, senior officials also participated in this important meeting held before the cabinet meeting.
The major issue of concern in the meeting was the possible impact on the supply of crude oil in India due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia and rising prices in the international market. India imports a large part of its crude oil needs from West Asian countries. Therefore, the current situation there is expected to affect India’s economy and trade. India is already keeping an eye on this conflict and has expressed its concern that this conflict should not become widespread. India has made it clear on the international forum that it is closely monitoring the situation in West Asia.

Increasing tension in the Middle East
The conflict situation in West Asia is continuously worsening. Fighting is already going on between Israel and the Palestinian organization Hamas and now Israel’s tension with Lebanon’s Hezbollah organization has also increased. The Israeli army is continuously carrying out air strikes on Hezbollah positions. According to reports, Israel has also killed Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah in an attack. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
After Nasrallah, Saffieddin, who was being touted as Hezbollah’s heir, is also reported to have been killed in an Israeli attack. These developments are worrying for the entire West Asia and may affect regional stability.
Iran’s attack on Israel
Amidst this entire conflict, Iran has also started directly intervening. Recently Iran fired more than 180 missiles at Israel, although no Israeli civilians were injured in this attack. Despite this, this attack by Iran has further incited Israel’s anger. Now it remains to be seen how Israel responds to this attack by Iran.
According to reports, there is a fear of a possible rocket attack by the Israeli Air Force during Nasrallah’s funeral, which could further inflame the conflict. India and other countries of the world are constantly keeping an eye on this serious crisis in West Asia, because it can affect not only regional peace but also the global economy.
