New Delhi. There is a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Information has been given by a press conference in this regard by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt said that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan has come into force from 5 pm today. India has agreed to ceasefire on its own terms. Pakistan’s Director General of Operations (DGMO) called the Indian DGMO at 3.35 pm today. They agreed between them that both sides would stop all kinds of firing and military action in land, air and sea from 5 pm. The Director General of Military Operations of the two countries will re -talk on May 12.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump claimed that India and Pakistan had agreed to the ceasefire. Trump said through social media posts that after a full night talks in the United States mediation, it is a pleasure to stating that the India-Pakistan has agreed to the ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries for using their intelligence.

Prior to this tweet by Trump, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on social media, in the last 48 hours, Vice President JD Vance and I Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif, India’s Foreign Minister S.K. Jayashankar has interacted with senior Indian and Pakistani officials including Jaishankar, Pakistan’s Army Chief Aseem Munir and India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Pakistani officer Asim Malik. I am happy to declare that the governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to immediately start negotiations on the ceasefire and widespread issues at the neutral site. We appreciate the intelligence and wisdom of Prime Minister Modi and Sharif in choosing the path of peace.
