The celebrations related to the first anniversary of Pran Pratishtha started in Ram temple on Saturday (Pratishtha Dwadashi) in Ayodhya, for which a large number of devotees have reached Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated on this occasion.
The anniversary celebrations began with the recitation of Yajurveda. There will be a grand aarti of the Lord at 12:20 pm, after which 56 dishes will be offered to the Lord. Ramlala’s court has been decorated with flowers.
The Prime Minister posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “Many best wishes to all the countrymen on the first anniversary of Ram Lalla’s death in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality.” He said, ”I am confident that this divine and grand Ram temple will become a great inspiration in achieving the resolve of a developed India.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted a picture of Ram Lalla on ‘X’ and said, “We are servants of Raghuveer…Jai Shri Ram!” He wrote, “Ramaya Rambhadraya Ramchandraya Vedhase. Raghunathaya Nathay Sitayaah Pataye Namah. Jai Jai Shri Ram!”
Local resident Anup Mishra, who reached the temple, said, ‘When the consecration was done in January 2024, we were not able to reach Ram Janmabhoomi, but this time we are feeling lucky to reach the court of Ramlala on the first anniversary.’
Sarla Maheshwari, a devotee from Bhopal, said, ‘We had reached Ayodhya two days ago to participate in the anniversary celebrations, and are very excited thinking that we will have darshan of the Lord today.’
According to the temple trust, the ceremony to be held from January 11 to 13 will also include common people, who could not attend the historic ceremony last year. Besides, around 110 invited VIPs will also attend.
A German hangar tent has been erected at the Angad Tila site, with arrangements to host 5,000 people. Common people will get an opportunity to see this grand ceremony. The program includes classical cultural presentation, rituals and daily Ram Katha discourse in the Mandap and Yagyashala.
Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, had earlier said, ‘The trust has decided to invite the general public who could not attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony last year. He will be allowed to attend all three days’ programs at Angad Tila.
The trust also said that invitation cards have been distributed to guests, including 110 very distinguished persons (VIPs), many of whom were not able to attend the original Pran Pratistha ceremony on January 22, 2024.
It is noteworthy that on January 22, 2024, the new Ram Lalla idol was consecrated in the Ayodhya temple in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
