New Delhi. Census may start in the country next year i.e. 2025. The census has been conducted every 10 years. The last census was conducted in 2011. Then the census was to be conducted in 2021, but it did not happen due to the Corona epidemic. Now news channel Aaj Tak has quoted sources as saying that after the census, there will be delimitation of Lok Sabha seats in 2028. Apart from this, the news channel has given more important information about the census quoting sources. Let us tell you that the opposition parties have been continuously asking when the census will be conducted.
According to the information, this time in the census, government employees can also ask your community. It is not yet decided whether there will be a question about caste in the census or not, but along with the opposition parties, some parties of NDA have put forward their demand in favor of conducting caste census. The Bihar government of JDU, which is part of the Modi government at the Centre, had even conducted a caste survey in its state and presented its figures. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh i.e. RSS is also in favor of caste census, provided it is not used for politics. If caste census is conducted, then the government will know what changes have happened in the economic and social condition of which castes in the last 15 years. Accordingly, the government can implement its schemes or can also bring new schemes to provide assistance to the deprived castes.
If census is held in 2025, its cycle will also change. After this, the next census will be conducted in the year 2035. At the same time, after the census, there will be an increase in the number of MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The reason for this is that the population figure is decided for the election of MPs. The next Lok Sabha elections are to be held in 2029. Lok Sabha elections will be conducted under the new delimitation. At the same time, due to increase in population in the states, the number of Rajya Sabha MPs from there will also increase.
