Prohibition has been implemented in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city of Maharashtra to maintain law and order against Aurangzeb’s tomb and during the upcoming festivals.
An official said that Police Commissioner Praveen Pawar has implemented the prohibition, which will remain in force from 25 March to 8 April.
It is noteworthy that many right -wing organizations Chhatrapati are demanding the removal of the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb located in Khultabad in Sambhajinagar district.
The police order mentions upcoming programs like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s death anniversary (29 March), Gudi Padwa Utsav (30 March), Eid, Jhulelal Jayanti (31 March) and Ram Navami (6 April).
It also states that there is also a possibility that right -wing organizations may launch agitation against Aurangzeb’s tomb and various communities may also organize protests.
The order states that under Section 37 (1) (3) of the Maharashtra Police Act-1951, prohibitory orders have been implemented in the city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to maintain law and order.
In the order, five or more people have been prohibited from gathering together and carrying out the movement or march without permission. It states that from March 25 to April 8, people will not be allowed to keep any kind of weapon.
The order states that it will not be allowed to play the speaker in slogans and loud voice during this period.
