To protect Indians from inflation, the Central Government has made arrangements for cheap grains. Under this, pulses are being made available to the customers at 20 to 25% lower prices. That means pulses are being distributed to the customers on subsidy. Whole gram, lentils and moong dal are being given at low prices.
How much is the price?
This facility is being provided by the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation. This scheme was launched on 23 October. Under this, states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat etc. are getting benefits. Apart from this, onion and rice will also be made available at lower prices.
Talking about the prices of pulses, Bharat Dal whole gram is available at Rs 58 per kg, chana dal at Rs 70 per kg, moong dal at Rs 107 per kg. Under ‘Bharat Dal’, essential food items are being provided to the customers through mobile vans. Masoor dal is being sold at Rs 89 per kg.
