New Delhi. Chhagan Bhujbal has once again become a minister in the Maharashtra government. Devendra Fadnavis government of Maharashtra has included Bhujbal in the cabinet in place of Dhananjay Munde. Munde resigned from the post of Food and Supplies Minister of the state in March this year. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Bhujbal. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and both Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were present during Bhujbal’s swearing in. Senior NCP -led NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal is an MLA from Yevla in Nashik district. Bhujbal is considered a big OBC leader in Maharashtra politics.
After taking oath as a minister, Chhagan Bhujbal said that CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar thanked other members of the party. He said that I am also very thankful to PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for this responsibility. I will complete whatever work I will be given with honesty. With this, he said that when the end is good, everything is good. Earlier in December 2024, when Devendra Fadnavis expanded the cabinet of his government, Chhagan Bhujbal was not made a minister. Bhujbal publicly expressed displeasure over this matter.

Now he has been made a minister, removing his displeasure. Earlier, when Eknath Shinde was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Bhujbal was also a minister in his government. By making Bhujbal a minister, the BJP has targeted two targets with one arrow. One, the displeasure of Bhujbal has been removed, which will now stop his public rhetoric and on the other hand the government has tried to help the OBC class of Maharashtra.
