There has been an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the forest area of Abujhmad in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officers have so far reported only the encounter. More disclosure will be made in the coming time.
Earlier, the security forces had run ‘Operation Black Forest’ to break the back of Naxalites near Kareguttalu Hill (KGH) on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. In the 21-day campaign conducted by the Union Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the joint forces of the State Police, a 212 crore Naxalites were killed in the 21-day campaign conducted between April 21 to May 11. The bunkers were destroyed and a total of 450 IEDs, 818 BGL shells, 899 bundle codes, detonators and large quantities of explosive material were recovered during the search.
Apart from this, about 12,000 kg of food supply has been recovered.
