On Sunday, 12 Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police gave this information. A senior police official said that an encounter started in the forest of Indravati National Park area on Sunday morning when a team of security forces set out on an anti -Naxal operation.
The police officer said, “According to preliminary information, 12 Naxalites were killed in the encounter.” He said that there is still intermittent firing in the area. According to the information, the number of killed Naxalites may increase. Automatic weapons have also been recovered from the site of the encounter. Security forces in Chhattisgarh are continuously taking action against Naxalites.
The encounter continues in the morning on the border of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in Farsarh police station area of Bijapur. The encounter with DRG Bijapur, STF, C-60 personnel has been confirmed from 8 am. About 12 Naxalites are reported killed in this encounter.
