The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against an accused arrested earlier in the target murder case of Chhattisgarh Indian Army personnel, according to an official statement by the agency.
Charge sheet has been filed against Ashu Corsa of Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) in the NIA Special Court in Jagdalpur under Section 302 Centenary 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 16, 18, 20, 38 and 39 of the UA (P) Act.
An investigation by the NIA in the case revealed that the accused Motiram Achala was involved in the criminal conspiracy of the banned terrorist organization CPI (Maoist). The victim was shot by an armed cadre of CPI (Maoist) while walking with his family members at the fair of Usli village in Aambeda area of Kanker district of the state on February 25 last year.
The NIA took the originally registered case by the local police on February 29, 2024 and during the investigation found that the accused was an active armed cadre of the Kuari Area Committee of North Bastar Division, who works under Ashu Corsa CPI (Maoist).
Kogsa, along with another senior Maoist leader, identified Motiram Achala and killed her in the local market. He was arrested by the NIA in December last year in connection with the conspiracy, which was to cause panic in the minds of the people of that region. The NIA case is continuing the investigation of the case.
