CJI BR Gavai said, “Whenever there was a crisis on the country, the country was united and strong, the credit should be given to the Constitution.” When the constitution was being made and its final draft was presented before the Constituent Assembly, some people were saying that the constitution is very federal while some said that it is very unique. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar replied that the constitution is neither completely federal nor completely unique, but one thing I can tell you that we have given a constitution that will keep India united and strong in both peace and war.

Justice Gawai said that it is our fundamental duty to reach every last citizen who needs justice. The Chief Justice said that the Allahabad High Court is a very disciplined bar. Legal giants like Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru and many others were here. Many litterateurs like Mahadevi Verma, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Sumitranandan Pant, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala etc. have also come here from this earth.
